Three of our associates talk about what they've done and where they're heading to and why they love working for TimeBridge:
Enghin Ciaus
With a background in human behaviour and market research, Enghin has worked as a coordinator of information campaigns and interview processor. He became one of our PA's because he sees lots of opportunities in this work and he is confident that "if one does his work with excellence, opportunities will inevitably open up for him".
Alexandra Blanda
Alexandra had to go to the other side of the world to discover she misses home too much to be able to live abroad. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto specialized in Finance and Economics and valuable experience in customer service. She's currently living in the North East of Romania and she is passionate about her hometown.
Melinda Bolonyi
Melinda has a BA in Foreign Languages and a MA in Canadian Studies. Her passion for art and literature has earned her a number of prizes for her poetry, and she dreams of becoming a writer one day. She worked as an English language trainer, SAT supervisor, assistant manager, translator and executive assistant before becoming a PA.
We asked our PAs to tell us more about themselves and why they choose TimeBridge. This is what they said:
Why did you choose to work as a personal assistant?
Alexandra: "It's a great way to meet interesting people, make connections and learn new things. It's also quite fascinating to see how other people think and how they approach their lives. I've applied a lot of what I've learned to my own life."
Enghin: "I have a lot of interests, and working as a PA lets me explore almost all of them - everything from researching things on the web to planning and booking elaborate vacations. It's great fun! And the money's good, too."
Melinda: "I love helping other people - it makes me feel good. I also like to use the knowledge I've acquired over the past 10 years, which is something I totally get to do as a PA. Finally, I love the permanent contact I have with my clients; I feel like they're my friends."
Why did you choose TimeBridge?
Alexandra: "Choosing TimeBridge was more of an accident than anything else. An ex-colleague told me about it briefly and said she was looking for somebody to join the team. Since I was looking for something part-time anyway, it seemed like the perfect job for me. Now that I've started working, I realize that it's more than just a job - it's interesting, challenging and fun. The moment when I receive a new task is fantastic. It's like I get to learn something new about myself and my abilities."
Enghin: "I like their philosophy. I like that they encourage developing real relationships with clients instead of asking to be a faceless and nameless order-taker. It makes me feel good when my clients thank me personally for the help I give them."
Melinda: "I was looking for a part-time job but I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was approached by TimeBridge because of my diverse background, and I thought it was great that they recognized my background as an asset. I jumped at the chance to find out more, and found them to be real pros."
Why should TimeBridge clients choose you as a PA?
Alexandra: "I am responsible, friendly and committed to my clients. I do my job very well because I like what I'm doing."
Enghin: "I'm fast, diligent and I love helping my clients out. I go out of my way to reach above and beyond what is asked if I see that the extra mile would really help."
Melinda: "I turn things around quickly and I'm totally transparent about everything. I want to work with my clients and not for them."
How would you describe yourself as a person?
Alexandra: "I am ambitious and I strive for perfection in everything I do. I'm well-travelled and well-versed in the needs and aspirations of people from all countries and at all stations."
Enghin: "I'm a very quick study and a very open person. I work hard, play harder, and I'm always fair to myself, my family, my employer and my clients."
Melinda: "I'm friendly, open-minded and honest. I exude a positive attitude in everything I do, and I bring that attitude with me to my work!"
What are your hobbies?
Alexandra: "I enjoy reading good books and rollerblading. Also I love travelling whenever I have the opportunity, seeing different cultures and traditions."
Enghin: "I love live music - especially rock concerts. I'm also an avid reader, a movie buff and a world traveller."
Melinda: "I love reading books, watching movies, and wearing the latest fashions. I also write poems, draw and stay active with a number of team and individual sports."
